I purchased this lidded dish at an estate auction in west central Illinois 10 years ago. It is hand-painted with gold accents and outlines. The gold painting on the side of the lid looks like facing dragons. The inside of the lid has no glaze at the bottom, there is no glaze around the lip of the dish, or between the paw feet at the base. The feet are glazed on the bottom. It stands 4 1/4" high, and is 6 1/2" across. It has no damage.
Silver Pot
Description:
This is a silver pot manufactured by Reed & Barton #9629 with the #6 underneath. Design Pat.Aug.12.1878. It looks like it could be a water or tea pot. There are flowers on the sides, and the handle has what appears to be a sailboat on top also strange lettering on the handle sides. The flip lid has what looks like a lion sitting up as a handle.
Etching
Description:
This is an etching by G. Fonseca, number 49 of possibly 200, although it is very hard to make out the second number. There is also a triangle with what looks like the letters "szl" inside. The frame measures 23" x 29" and the print measures 17"x 21." I know is this may be a sculptor from Uruguay. I cannot find any artwork from him. It is a very well done art item.
